Common Kitchen

Cooks algae into shared meals and anchors daily life beside the communal courts.

Two shallow, intersecting oxide-red (#A65239) fused-regolith vaults cross over a low hall, braced by heavy stepped basalt (#34383C) buttresses at the four corners and bound by broad pressure-aluminum (#B5BAB7) ribs along their crowns. The two vaults are exactly the same height and cross at right angles, one running front to back and one side to side. Their crowns meet flush where they cross and nothing rises above them: no dome, hump, boss or lantern at the crossing. In FRONT, LEFT and RIGHT the roof outline is flat on top: the long straight crown of the crossing vault runs level across the whole width, and the arched end of the other vault sits in front of it with its top just touching that level line, never above it. TOP shows a flat plus-shaped red cross.

The front end holds one broad serving bay: a long, low opening under a deep aluminum canopy over a red (#C53F35) counter. One band of big geometric glass blocks in glacial blue (#A9CFD9) and dustlight amber (#E3B46E) runs along each side under the vault.

No figures: the warm vaults and the generous serving window are its welcome.

Scale: longest ground side about 2.2 city tiles, with the main entrance on the front face.
