Nimbus Crown is tended by weatherwright households whose civic duty is to gather fair weather for the lands far below. The city prizes dependable stewardship, spectacular public craft, and the nerve to work at the edge of a storm. Its mood shifts between sun-warmed bustle, hushed mist, and exhilarating thunder.
An archipelago of buoyant cloudstone shelves drifts around a towering cumulonimbus heart, with broad upper terraces for building, narrow vapour channels between them, and dark storm banks below. Pearlescent cloudstone, compacted blue ice, rain pools, feathery vapour gardens, and transient rainbow bridges sit beneath an immense open sky; a dwelling is small against a cloud shelf but large enough to read clearly from the next island. Harvesting radiance leaves cool grey haze, drawing moisture thins clouds to gauze, and discharging storm cells turns bruised purple banks pale and still.
The everyday fabric uses pale cloudstone vaults and thick wind-rounded walls around buoyant pumice frames, with deep oval thresholds, small leeward openings, and roof basins that catch mist; patched cloud felt and knotted vapour rope are ordinary signs of care rather than poverty. Weather-working structures stretch outward in copper-braced glass ribs, heliostat petals, rain chains, and high lightning forks, while civic commissions spend scarce prism glass on layered screens whose colour shifts with the sun; exposed copper carries charge, cloudstone anchors mass, blue ice lines cisterns, and spun glass admits or splits light. Buildings cluster tightly on the sheltered rims of each shelf and open their working faces toward sun or storm, with newer cantilevered platforms grafted onto older rounded cores and every repair recorded in a visible band of coloured glass or bright metal stitching.
Build homes and weather works close enough for short commutes while walkers carry captured sunshine, rainwater, prism glass, harvested Static, and forged thunderbolts through the city. Collectors exhaust bright, wet, and charged cloud cells into haze or calm air, so the player must seed vapour and guide cloud growth; supplied rainwater and a connected rainbow utility raise happiness, while homes near crackling Static works or explosion-prone thunderbolt factories lose it, making industrial separation compete with commute efficiency and the goodwill needed to expand. The goal is to complete a monumental weather crown that consumes sunshine, rainwater, prism glass, and thunderbolts to stabilise a full weather cycle for the world below.

Stormheart-violet panels make the interface read as a charged weather instrument rather than neutral administration. Lightning-white text and high-sky blue secondary lettering remain clear through the dark field, while sunwell-gold focus and primary controls resemble captured radiance. Pale cloudstone buttons, doubled glass-like panel borders, rounded oval corners and small hard shadows translate the city’s vaults, prism screens and visibly repaired apparatus without disturbing familiar information hierarchy. Broad humanist headings feel civic and optimistic; compact monospaced numbers keep sunshine, rainwater, Static and thunderbolt counts steady during a busy weather cycle. Warnings pair lightning-white language with explicit status symbols so danger never depends on colour alone.
Shared placeholder icons · Clear weather-instrument silhouettes assembled from rounded cloudstone masses and thin copper-like braces: petal for sunshine, cup-chain for rainwater, comb for Static, split fork for thunderbolts and layered arc for rainbow light. Keep familiar action symbols recognizable, distinguish every resource by silhouette as well as colour, and pair shock or explosion warnings with explicit labels.

A buoyant six-beat weather motif passes from distant glass and rain into measured civic machinery, copper strikes and a rare crowning bell.
Widely spaced glass tones trace the shared five-note weather motif above a soft rain texture and slow hazy harmony, leaving broad pockets of sky between gestures.
The same motif becomes a measured instrument pulse over paired six-beat bass figures, quiet metal braces and organ-like civic harmony; a deep bell marks the completed weather cycle.
